Richmond River Sod Turn

Today marked an important milestone with the sod turn for the Richmond River High Campus project, a moment the local community has been waiting a long time to see.

Minister Saffin spoke about the school’s significance to the region, the benefits it will bring to students and families, and how this event signals the start of a major project that will help renew education facilities across the Northern Rivers. Martyn provided a brief update on the broader program, noting that other flood recovery projects are progressing well and that the momentum on site reflects strong collaboration between government, schools, delivery partners, and the community.

The sod turn represents the shift from planning to delivery and is a clear sign that long‑awaited improvements are now becoming a reality.
